OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR III (2nd shift)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

 

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 2pm-11pm with a lunch break

 

Responsibilities:
•    Provide front-line support to manufacturing, and allocate appropriate resources 
•    Plan, direct, and monitor production activities with the objective of maximizing the use of organizational resources to meet or exceed established targets for Safety, TEOA (LEAN), COE, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Employee Engagement and Talent Development
•    Focus on quality expectations of the customer and creating an extraordinary customer experience
•    Leads daily meetings with the value stream team aimed at identifying and resolving process issues quickly
•    Conducts daily audits of the manufacturing processes to ensure all safety, quality, and process standards are being followed
•    Responsible for driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost using TEOA tools and philosophy
•    Extensive understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (Specifically Tiered Accountability)
•    Knowledgeable in MS word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
•    Compliance work center performance metrics and customer quality expectations
•    Root cause and corrective actions for internal audit findings
•    Labor, waste, and material variance objectives met in areas of accountability
•    Ensure that established quality policies, safety rules, and environmental regulations are followed
•    Manage, monitor, and report on material requirements
•    Work closely with the manufacturing engineering groups to ensure process safety, quality, and productivity
•    Interviews applicants for operations jobs 
•    Make recommendations on training requirements and ensure effective cross training for the operations
•    Provide mentoring and on-going support to manufacturing team members
•    Understanding of quality documentation and reporting
•    Daily review of production schedules
•    Report the need for overtime as necessary
•    Provide reports and updates on performance measurements
•    Ensure that roles and expectations are clearly communicated throughout the entire value stream.
 

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience required
•    Lean manufacturing experience
•    Experience in a high performing culture
•    Knowledge of MRP/ERP planning and execution concepts
•    Time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
•    Must be proficient in the English Language

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $80,320-120,480 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
